When I first started sewing for my girl, I loved the affordability of woven fabric. Made for Mermaids has a great selection of woven patterns, and their Everyday Princess collection was made so dressup clothes would be comfortable for everyday use. I used the Cleaning Cinderella dress for this dress. I think she has about five of these dresses.
The neckline and sleeves have an elastic casing. The sash and ruffle at the bottom give lots of space for coordinating fabrics. This is one of my favorite summer dresses!
I almost made it to a completely mommy-made wardrobe before little mister turned two and started noticing when his sister would get new clothes and he wouldn’t. So I used the Made for Mermaids’ Charlie Button Up pattern.
